Prepared by: Charity Helpers Foundation
Date: 2025-06-14
Version: 1.0

---

**CONCEPT SUMMARY**
Volley Dart blends the fast-paced movement of volleyball with the targeted scoring of darts. Teams volley a lightweight ball toward scoring zones on the opposing team’s board. Points are earned based on where the ball lands.

---

**REQUIRED EQUIPMENT**

- Large vertical “dart board” target divided into scoring zones
- Soft, volleyball-sized foam ball
- Net or low barrier between teams
- Scorecards or a scoreboard
- Referees (minimum 2)

---

**FIELD LAYOUT**

- Two sides divided by a short net
- Each side has a mounted target board on the back wall
- Scoring zones on board: 1 to 10 points, with bullseye or special zones for bonuses

---

**PLAYER ROLES**

- 3–6 players per team
- Rotational server or striker
- Referees for scorekeeping and rule enforcement

---

**GAME OBJECTIVE**

Volley the ball over the net to strike the opponent’s target board and score points. Defenders can attempt to block or redirect incoming balls.

---

**BASIC RULES**

1. Each rally begins with a serve toward the opposing target.
2. The receiving team can strike the ball back toward their opponent’s board within 3 touches.
3. A direct hit scores based on the target zone hit.
4. The first team to reach the predetermined score (e.g., 50 or 100 points) wins.
5. Bonus points can be awarded for trick shots or back-row volleys.

---

**VARIATIONS / SCALING IDEAS**

- **Single-Player Mode**: One player per side for training
- **Double Targets**: Secondary moving targets for higher difficulty
- **Glow Mode**: Blacklight court with glowing targets and balls
- **Timed Rush**: Score as many points as possible in 3 minutes

---

**STAT TRACKING SUGGESTIONS**

- Total score
- Bullseyes hit
- Successful volleys vs. errors
- Reaction time for defenders

---

**NOTES**
Volley Dart encourages hand-eye coordination, strategic thinking, and quick movement. It's ideal for indoor rec centers, school gyms, or modified outdoor play with portable targets.
